By accessing or using CloseTheGap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CloseTheGap provides military compensation analysis tools that compare military and civilian compensation, including detailed tax calculations and PDF report generation. The Service is offered on a subscription basis.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are subject to change with notice.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the Service, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for subscription fees already charged. If you believe there has been an error in billing, please contact us within 30 days.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Reproduce, duplicate, or resell any part of the Service without express written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by CloseTheGap and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The compensation and tax calculations provided are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial or legal advice. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CloseTheGap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
